The Bank is the successful culmination of the vision of its Chairman Jim Unruh and key Directors, who saw a growing need in the Valley for a community bank focused on small-to-medium sized businesses. Community Banks are those that are managed locally, with all decisions made locally. As the Valley’s tremendous growth has continued, there are increasing numbers of local businesses providing goods and services across a wide spectrum of industries served by a limited number of community banks; “We are pleased that our vision of a service-driven community bank was so well supported by our regulators and investors. We are excited to see that vision become a reality today with the opening of Gainey Business Bank,” said Jim Unruh.
Gainey Business Bank’s operations will be led by Joe Stewart, President & CEO , who has over 35 years of banking experience in the Valley. From 2007-2014, Mr. Stewart was President of JPMorgan Chase Arizona, and from 2015-2020 President of Bankers Trust’s Arizona operations. Mr. Stewart has added a seasoned team of local executives to fulfill the Bank’s strategy of providing excellent business banking services to its customers. “The business banking needs of our local businesses can best be met with a team having extensive local market knowledge, a service-driven culture and a commitment to excellence,” said Joe Stewart.
