Ed Chamberlain joins Hull FC on loan from Leigh Leopards

Ed Chamberlain has joined Hull FC on loan from Leigh Leopards. The 24-year-old utility back will be with the Super League side until the end of the season. Chamberlain began his professional rugby league career at Featherstone Rovers in 2016 before joining Leigh in 2018. He has also had loan spells at Sheffield Eagles and Batley Bulldogs. Hull FC head coach Brett Hodgson expressed his excitement about Chamberlain's arrival, praising his versatility and ability to play in multiple positions. "We're delighted to bring Ed on board for the remainder of the season," said Hodgson. "He adds depth and competition to our squad, and his ability to play across several positions will be valuable for us." Chamberlain will provide cover for Hull FC's backline, which has been hit by injuries this season. The club has seen several key players, including Carlos Tuimavave and Mahe Fonua, sidelined with long-term injuries. The loan move to Hull FC will give Chamberlain an opportunity to gain valuable game time and experience in the Super League. It also allows him to showcase his talent and potentially earn a permanent move to the club. Leigh coach John Duffy acknowledged Chamberlain's move as a chance for him to develop and grow as a player. "This is a great opportunity for Ed to go and play in the Super League and prove his ability at that level," said Duffy. "We wish him all the best during his loan spell." Chamber
