Pitt-Bradford business students finish first in global simulation BRADFORD — Students in Dr. Amy Gresock’s business management capstone course at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford topped teams from 142 universities and business colleges in the penultimate week. The students participated in a global business simulation exercise called Capsim during the fall 2021 semester. This interactive simulation allowed students to put their business knowledge into practice and make strategic decisions for a virtual company. The simulation challenged students to make decisions in the areas of marketing, finance, operations, and human resources. The goal was to maximize the company's performance and achieve a competitive advantage in the simulated marketplace. Throughout the semester, students worked in teams to analyze industry reports, develop business strategies, and implement their decisions. They were able to see the impact of their choices on their company's financial performance and overall success.
