Reynolds Ranch and Farm Supply celebrated its 33rd anniversary at its location in the 500 block of Madison Street in Red Bluff on Saturday.
Customers were greeted by local youth that used the opportunity to raise donations for the local Little League program with donations from the business.
Owners Kit and Paul Reynolds hosted the anniversary and used the opportunity to announce the passing of the torch to the next business owners, Steve and Jessica Dyke of Red Bluff.
Under the tenure of the Reynolds duo, this local business that started as a feed store expanded to include outdoor, hunting and fishing supplies, as well as the well-known boutique upstairs that specializes in Western wear known as The Loft. Over the past 33 years, Paul and Kit have built a landmark in the city of Red Bluff. Community events, including the annual Red Bluff Round-Up mixer, parade events and various chamber of commerce events, are hosted at the business.
“We have always known the business would one day need to change hands, and we truly feel we found the next generation of caretakers for the future of the business,” Paul Reynolds said.
Steve and Jessica Dyke both grew up in Tehama County and chose to raise their family there. Their daughters, both students at Red Bluff High School, are successful athletes in the local sports programs.
“I grew up buying feed and jumping off the front dock of the business as a kid,” said Steve Dyke. “My family and I are truly honored to be given this opportunity and ensure the business continues the service it provides to our local community.”
When asked about the future of the business, Steve Dyke said “We will continue to honor the history of this location and business. The name will remain in honor of all of the hard work building this community business by Paul and Kit Reynolds.”
In honor of their dedication to the Red Bluff community, Steve and Jessica Dyke presented a plaque in appreciation to Paul and Kit Reynolds.
