Zach Galifianakis: ‘America’s Obsession With Celebrity’ Is ‘A Mental Illness, Stars Should Be mocked

Superstar comedian Zach Galifianakis said “America’s obsession” with celebrities is a “mental illness” and that celebrities “should be mocked.”

“I mean celebrity, in general, should be mocked,” the 52-year-old actor shared Monday during his appearance on the latest “Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend” Spotify podcast. “It’s so ridiculous,” he added. “It’s how we ended up with a celebrity president.
