What is Testimonial Collector?

Testimonial Collector makes gathering testimonials from your customers simple. Send customizable surveys via text and/or email and collect 5-star reviews on the world’s top platforms. Embed a live stream of reviews directly on your website, and trigger surveys automatically based on the interaction of your choice via our Zapier integration.  


Why am I not seeing a thumbs up/thumbs down in my survey? 

We recently made a change to Testimonial Collector to better comply with Google and Yelp’s guidelines. These platforms don’t allow “Review Gating”, which is the process of screening reviews before they’re published online, so we’ve removed the thumbs up/thumbs down filter for Google and Yelp. This filter will still appear for users leaving reviews on other platforms.

Can you make my website ADA compliant? 

We know website accessibility is important, so we’ve partnered with AudioEye, a company that specializes in web accessibility. When you sign up for our Accessibility Upgrade, AudioEye’s technology is applied to your site. They’ll test it thoroughly to ensure it’s ADA compliant to AA standards, get you certified, and perform ongoing remediation to make sure you stay in compliance.


We highly recommend this upgrade for all of our clients. It opens your site up to more customers – according to the World Health Organization, between 15–20% of the world’s population is disabled. And it also protects you from risk of a lawsuit.


What is accessibility and why is it important?

When not designed to specific ADA standards, websites can be difficult or impossible to navigate by people who rely on assistive technologies. Websites must be designed and developed to accommodate users with diverse abilities. In the same way that a building must provide certain physical accommodations – ramps, rails, elevators – websites must provide accommodations in the digital space.


Can’t I just use a free accessibility tool?

The problem is a lot of these free tools don’t give a complete understanding of a site’s accessibility. Many of them don’t recognize advanced techniques people are using. You need a solution that’s more comprehensive and includes manual user testing. With our Accessibility Upgrade, AudioEye will perform both automated and manual user testing on an ongoing basis.


Why can’t I just use UserWay? 

UserWay doesn’t solve your compliance problem. Their plugin does nothing to aid a user’s assistive technology, and in some cases, it actually hinders these technologies. The toolbar they use doesn’t look at a website’s actual code, which means it’s not solving anything. UserWay also doesn’t do any manual testing. They rely solely on automatic scans, which can miss issues. In fact, having the UserWay widget on your site actually makes you a target. It signals to attorneys that you’ve done little work to address accessibility issues. If you get served a lawsuit, this “free” plugin will end up costing you quite a lot.

Can I be sued if my website is not ADA compliant?

All public entities are required to provide equal access under the Americans with Disabilities Act, so yes, failing to provide an accessible website can result in legal action. The number of website accessibility lawsuits did increase by 177% from 2017 to 2018.

What is your Custom Email Upgrade? 

With our Custom Email Upgrade, we’ll set you up with custom domain emails, like or Custom emails are what people expect from a professional business. Anything else, like a Gmail or Yahoo! email, could hurt your credibility. We’re able to offer custom emails at an extremely discounted price for 10 emails.


What about my current email?

You can set up forwarding so that any email that’s sent to your old email address is forwarded to your new one – it’s really seamless! 


What if I don’t need all 10 emails?

Right now we’re offering emails in packages of 10. You may not need all those right now, but it’s good to have some lined up for the future. Remember, these emails can be assigned to people, like, or we can set up role-based emails, like I think you’ll find that 10 is a good place to start. 


What if I need more emails?

If you need more emails, we can add another package of 10 to your subscription. 


Are my emails stored after I cancel?  

No, your emails are not saved on our platform and will be permanently deleted after you cancel. 


Can I use one email package for two different domains?

No, each domain must have its own individual email package.


How long does it take for my MX records to propagate?

Please allow 24 hours for new records to propagate. During this time, emails might be sent to your existing inbox or your new inbox. There is a chance emails may be lost during propagation.


How do I log in to my email?

You can access your email directly in your dashboard. Just log in and select the Email tile.

What happens to my old site/hosting after launching my new site?

Your old site will no longer be accessible online, but the site itself should still be stored on your old hosting platform. As long as you keep paying for your hosting, it should not be deleted.
