Chelsea v Barcelona: Blues have to be 'perfect' to reach final

Chelsea face a daunting task as they take on Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League semi-final. The Blues will need to be at their absolute best if they want to progress to the final of the competition. The first leg of the semi-final will take place at Stamford Bridge, giving Chelsea a slight advantage as they look to secure a positive result to take to the Camp Nou for the second leg. However, they will need to be near-perfect in their performance if they want to overcome the mighty Barcelona. Barcelona are currently in scintillating form, sitting comfortably at the top of La Liga and displaying their trademark possession-based style of play. Led by their talismanic forward Lionel Messi, the Catalan giants pose a significant threat to any team they face. Chelsea, on the other hand, have had a mixed season. They currently find themselves outside of the top four in the Premier League and will be relying heavily on a successful Champions League campaign to salvage their season. Manager Thomas Tuchel will need to come up with a tactical masterclass to neutralize Barcelona's potent attack. The German coach has already shown his defensive acumen in previous matches, notably in Chelsea's victory over Atletico Madrid in the round of 16.
